Striped Bass "Season" is here and going strong! This weekend we started on Friday afternoon and caught limits of Rockfish everyday through Sunday afternoon. On top on the bottom and all around the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel. Great Class of fish and all very healthy and ready to fight. The picture on this report is from "Big Tim" from Ohio and now lives in NC, Mikey and Mason and the famous Capt. Green. These guys worked over the fish this weekend. They had their limit and then played Catch and Release for the rest of the morning. If your looking for "Great Family" fun or just want to tangle with a great class of fish these charters are for you.

Striped Bass ~ Tog Combo's are back. Full & 1/2 Day Charters are available. I've still got some dates available so if you want to experience some of the best light tackle action on the Chesapeake Bay, now is your time.
The end of this week, I'm going to head over to the Eastern Shore at night and see if the "Hawgs" have made it home yet. Once they're back I'll open up our "Night Trips" eeling for the "Big Girls". This year we've got three boat we'll be using. The night trips will be with the 30' "Shamrock" or the "Viking" if the weather gets to bad. But I won't leave the "Kaylyn" sitting idle. I still want to keep it up close and personal on these trips. However if you have a preference, let me know, the "Heat" on the "Shamrock" sure makes it nice!
The 1st weekend in December, I've started a fishing tournament called the "Rockfish Rumble". Several years ago I fished a tournament that started on a Friday and ended Sunday at noon. That was one of the best tournaments that I've ever fished. The time frame was perfect. It allowed us to eel at night, take breaks and fish throughout the day as well. That tournament went away and over the years, my crew has convinced me that we needed to do something like that again. So I got the ball rolling and with some of the areas "Best Sponsors" we have the 1st Annual "Rockfish Rumble" starting Friday Dec. 2nd at 6pm and ending Sun. Dec. 4th at noon.
So if you have what it takes to tangle with some of the largest "Rockfish" the famous "Striped Bass Capital of the World" has to offer, this tournament is for you. If you need a boat or "Team" and want to participate contact me ASAP, I've got folks needing people.
We've got a busy winter, so get off the couch, and give me a call to participate in some great fishing events.
See you on the water!!!

Anglers:
I'm going to start this off by saying "Wow" what a weekend of fishing in the Canyon.
Today I had aboard one of the owners of G&H Offshore Lure Co., two boys from Qantico, and two Navy Officers that just returned from a 7 month Deployment. (By the way Gentlemen "Thank You all for your Service").
We started out in 30 Fathoms around the Navy buoys and had fun bailing mahi off them. Picked up 12 until a white came in and crashed the party. He didnt want us just the mahi that were hanging off the buoys and a log that was floating by.
I pointed the bow towards the canyon when a mystery bite occured but didn't come tight. I'd been fishing the pot buoys in the canyon all summer getting nice mahi and tuna close by when all hell breaks loose. Our 1st billfish of the day wrecks havoc on everything and leaves. He must not had enough so he turns and comes back in and get hooks on a G&H Seawitch. Hooked up this time, little to be known it wasn't a white it is a small blue. Get him to the boat, take pics and release him for another day. Back on the troll and pass our 1st buoy and it looks like nobody is home and a Penn 50 starts screaming like its on fire. Bert grabs the rod and lands a nice stud 42lbs Wahoo. Ok now we've got meat. Troll around the Canyon ledge and pic up a mahi here and there a few Fat Albert's and decide around 3 to call it a day. All lines are in except the Shotgun and when it reaches the stern it looks like someone dropped a VW bus next to the boat. Marlin hook up. Get the girl to the boat and it a huge white. Get some action shots let the anglers pat her back and she's off to produce more bills for us tomorrow.
Back to the dock and creek two guys at the slip.
If your interested in making a trip, the fishing offshore Va Beach is "Red Hot". Special Discounts for everyone and I have great contacts & deals this year on lodging. So get off the couch, call your friends and let's "Go Fishing"!!!!!!
If you are not familiar with G&H Offshore Lure Co. Check out their site at www.ghlureco.com they are also a sponsor of NJSWF as well. I can personally vouch for these guys. Their products catch fish, their customer service is outstanding and if you need assistance Phil is second to none when it come to helping out. Give em a look, you cant go wrong. And in closing, THEY ARE 100% HAND MADE IN THE USA by AMERICANS.
Tight Lines and be safe out there! See you on the water.

Anglers:
Sorry for the slack reports. We just finished up our Spring "Tog" season and man did we leave the fish biting. Let me just say, "They needed the Vacation".
So you've been wondering what have we been doing. I'm happy to announce that we are expanding "On Course Custom Charters" and have added a 45' Viking to our arsenal. I will add a copy of the professional wording of my peers below, but for you guys that understand it means this.
I want more pelagic blood, more screaming Penns, and more succulent fillets in our holds added to our trips. More range, more thunder and yes "a little more comfort'. To be able to compete I've got to stay longer, fish harder, and last but not least make these trips, enjoyable to you. So here we go. Starting Friday May 20th. "Game On Baby". I'm with all of you, these gas prices are just plain lousey. But I will 100% maintain our competive edge and get you the absolute best price out there. Thanks for your time and I look forward sharing our reports from Va Beach with my northern brothers. Tight Lines, Stay Safe out there and enjoy the season......Capt. Scott
Here's the announcement for the website.
New addition to “On Course Custom Charter’s” offshore fishing.
On Friday May 20th preparations will be completed on getting this 45’ Viking Convertible ready for the 2011 Offshore Fishing Season. We’ve been busy getting everything ready for action. The new addition to the arsenal of fishing vessels at “On Course” means many things. Bigger boat, more room, longer range, and yes more “Comfort”. However, the same do or die mentality that Capt. Scott has established is now ever so expanding. This season we will be adding this professional rigged, professionally maintained Viking to the list of vessels in our arsenal targeting a multitude of species. Blue and White Marlin, Wahoo, Mahi and Tuna are on our hit list. Our offshore charters will be competively priced and special discounts to all Active Duty/Retired Military, Law Enforcement, and Firefighters. We will continue assisting the solo angler as well and will maintain our “Make Up” charter list. Call or email Capt. Scott to be added to the list or verify that you’re still on it. If you’re looking to experience offshore fishing at a different level, we have added some new tools to help you get there. Capt. Scott and his professional mates are ready to take you there. www.oncoursecustomcharters.com or email Capt. Scott at
