Anglers:Today’s trip was a “Fathers Day” special and what a great crew we had. Denisa called me a few weeks ago and wanted to do something nice for her father on “Fathers Day”. So we planned out a trip and yesterday they showed up. On Saturday we had a minor issue with the boat that turned out the be a minor fix. So with the “Kaylyn” reloaded we made our schedule as planned. We headed to that “Secret Honey Hole” that always seems to hold a great class of Spade Fish. Today was no different. As soon as the 1st piece of clam goes down the Penn 550 starts a screaming. This is a good one. Ryan is on the rod and I can tell you for his 1st Spade Fish he would have made “Bill Dance” proud. I even had to pull this fish out away from the platform on this one. Ryan mans up and the 1st Spade is in the box. A nice 8.5lbs. Fish. This is just short of citation. Next Denisa’s rod gets hit and she works her fish to the boat. Then “Big Mike” is on deck. I thought Mike Tyson showed up. Mike worked the next biggest fish to the boat. A great looking 8lbs’r goes to the coffin. And then Senior looks at me a say’s “What about Senior”? I position the “Kaylyn” against the platform and tell him to drop way. And just text book “Bam” Game on! Senior works the fish to the boat and the whole school comes up with his fish. Everyone on the boat by the end of the day was wore out and well schooled on catching “Spade Fish”. To the Crew: Thank you for a delicious lunch and great company you provided. Enjoy those fillets! Senior: Happy Fathers Day! Thanks for a great day. If you want in on some of this “Hot” action. Contact me via email or website and let’s go “Catch em up”! Capt. Scott

im glad to hear that you guys have been laying into the fish, i wish i was there cuz i miss it, theres not much off shore fishing to be done in missouri. having a good time though, you give marines enough time and enough space and you will see and hear things that you never thought possible. we keep ourselves pretty occupied doing some dumb and funny stuff, thats what makes us marines though. cant wait to get back just in time for early striper season.
